Frequently asked questions
Why Club Basketball at Hoops World Elite Matters
Joining a Hoops World Elite club basketball team offers your child the opportunity to develop the fundamental skills and teamwork required for varsity sports and beyond. They learn to compete against the best talent, pushing them to rise through every challenge. This high level of competition is essential for meaningful growth: not just as athletes, but as individuals learning to embody the STRIVE values:
Sacrifice – Committing to practices, games, and personal growth.
Trust – Believing in the process, the coaching, and each other.
Relentless – Showing up and working hard, even when it’s tough.
Integrity – Competing with class, respecting the game, and doing what’s right.
Vision – Focusing not just on today's win, but tomorrow’s opportunities.
Excellence – Pursuing your best, in every drill, every game, every moment.
Our teams typically practice twice per week in top-quality indoor gymnasiums and compete in 1–2 tournaments each month. Players form lasting bonds with teammates as they face elite competition and grow together on and off the court.
Our mission is to ensure that those who are ready to STRIVE have a place on the court.
Training Structure That Builds Character and Skill
At Hoops World Elite, our club basketball program is designed not just to build great players — but to develop young athletes who embody the values of Sacrifice, Trust, Relentless effort, Integrity, Vision, and Excellence.
Each week, your child will participate in two focused team practices with their head coach. These sessions are dedicated to building team chemistry, understanding game strategy, and developing the habits of trust, communication, and teamwork.
In addition, all club players gain access to weekly fundamental training with our experienced World Elite trainers. These high-intensity skill sessions support individual development and ensure your athlete is continually working toward excellence in every aspect of their game.
We understand the importance of balance. Our schedule is designed to respect your family's time—providing a strong basketball foundation while allowing room for school, family, and personal responsibilities. For players who want to go the extra mile, we also offer optional training sessions each week, often on Friday nights, for those with the relentless drive to grow.
We don’t just teach basketball. We teach young people how to STRIVE.
There is one head coach for each team.
Scheduling conflicts can occur, and when they do, we will rotate another coach who is familiar with the team for a practice or tournament.
Our coaches follow pre-designed practice plans that enable them to fill in on a need-to-be-basis. The structured program helps ensure consistency.
Tournament Scheduling & Family Planning
At Hoops World Elite, we understand the importance of family time and planning. Many of our families juggle multiple commitments, and we genuinely value your sacrifice to make basketball a part of your schedule.
That said, due to the nature of Club basketball, tournament schedules are typically released by the organizers late Thursday evening before the weekend of play. These timelines are set by the tournament hosts—not by our program—and are often subject to change.
We are relentless in our efforts to share finalized schedules with you as soon as we receive them, and we will always communicate with integrity and transparency if adjustments arise. While some last-minute changes may be out of our control, we ask for your trust and flexibility as we navigate those situations together.
Almost always, our tournaments are local.
On occasion, travel may be required (e.g., to Las Vegas). This travel is usually done at the end of the season in the summer or during winter break, which accommodates school schedules.
We do not expect more than one travel tournament each season, depending upon parent demand.
Season Commitment & Team Responsibility
At Hoops World Elite, we ask each player and family to make a trustworthy and intentional commitment to their team for the entire season. When a player joins a roster, they become part of a group that is built to grow, learn, and compete together. Pulling out mid-season not only affects scheduling and competition, but it also impacts the chemistry and development of the entire team.
We encourage our athletes to approach this commitment with sacrifice, knowing that growth requires showing up for yourself and for others, even when it’s not easy. It’s through relentless effort and integrity that players grow into the best version of themselves.
Before each new season begins, players will have the opportunity to recommit with vision, deciding if they’re ready to continue the journey or explore other passions. That window is the right time to step away, if needed, not midstream.
We thank our families for honoring this standard of excellence and helping build a culture where teams can flourish through consistency, mutual respect, and shared purpose.
AAU Membership & Player Coverage
As part of our commitment to Excellence and Responsibility, Hoops World Elite participates in several AAU-sanctioned tournaments throughout the year. While not every event is AAU-affiliated, many of the most competitive and well-run tournaments fall under AAU governance.
To ensure all players and coaches are properly insured and eligible to compete, we require that each family purchase an Extended AB AAU Membership. This membership not only grants access to AAU events, but it also provides important insurance coverage for all team practices, games, and training sessions.
The membership is valid through September 1st of the current calendar year, regardless of when it’s purchased. This step is part of how we uphold Trust, Safety, and Integrity across all Hoops World Elite programming.
If you have questions about how to register or need assistance with the AAU process, please reach out—we’re here to help.
Understanding the Season Investment
At Hoops World Elite, we believe in delivering a high-quality, growth-focused basketball experience that reflects our STRIVE values—Sacrifice, Trust, Relentlessness, Integrity, Vision, and Excellence. Fees typically range from $2,100 to $2,400 per 6-month season.
To make this possible, your seasonal membership helps cover essential costs such as:
Gym rentals for consistent, safe indoor practices
Experienced coaching from committed, values-driven leaders
Tournament entry fees for competitive play
Web and administrative support to keep things organized and running smoothly
Because our teams are intentionally small to ensure personalized development, these fixed costs are shared among fewer families.
We’re committed to being transparent with our families, and we deeply value the investment you make in your child’s growth. If you ever have questions or need help navigating payment options, we’re here to support you.
Payment Options
We believe no child should miss out due to financial constraints. To support this, we offer:
Flexible Payment Plans: Families may choose a monthly installment plan to finance their investment.
Sibling Discount: Families with more than one player enrolled in the program will receive a discount for each additional child. Reach out to our admin team for exact amounts and how to apply it.
If you have any questions or would like to explore payment options, we’re here to work with you. Together, we can help your athlete stay committed, grow as a player, and thrive as a person.
Uniforms & Gear
To honor both value and consistency, uniforms are not included in the seasonal program fee, as many of our players return each season and continue using their existing gear.
If your player already has a complete and properly fitting Hoops World Elite uniform, no additional purchase is required.
For new players or those needing replacement items, the uniform package ranges from $250 to $350, depending on level. The gear package includes:
Home and Away uniforms
Practice Jersey and Shorts
Warm-up Top
Optional Extra Cost: Discounted Brand Shoes
This gear reflects our commitment to Excellence and includes the essentials your player needs to represent the program with pride, unity, and professionalism.
We’ll provide details on how to order, sizing guidance, and timelines well in advance of the season start.
If you have any questions or concerns about gear costs, please reach out—we’re here to help and will always lead with Integrity and Trust.
Team Selection & Orientation
If your child is selected for a team, you will be contacted directly by Hoops World Elite within 48 hours of the final tryout. We’ll schedule a team meeting during the first week of practice to introduce the coaches and teammates and provide important information about the season ahead.
This meeting is designed to build Trust through clear communication, establish a shared Vision by outlining team goals, and foster a sense of Excellence by setting the tone for a focused and supportive season. It's also your opportunity to ask questions and feel confident and informed as the season begins.
